Last week, I accompanied Kelsea (you can check out her blog, here) to a blogger event that Columbus Stories put on with Bexley Yoga. I’m not sure if you can really tell from this picture but that’s the rooftop at The Woods Company in Downtown Columbus. Amazing view. I could only dream of living in a place like that with a view — going to tell my boyfriend to rent out a place there because he’d love that view.
Anyways, this is the first blogger event that I’ve shown up to. I have been invited to other ones in the past but they always were on top of things that I already had planned ):
For a first event, this was great. I met a few other women that were bloggers and it was just refreshing to be around people that get blogging. These are women that aren’t asking you to describe the ins-and-outs of blogging because they do it. Not that I mind describing it to others but this was a place where like minds could come together if that makes sense? To sum it up, it was nice to be around other people that blog and get the positives and negatives of it all.
An itinerary was set up with what we needed to go before yoga — visit Rocket Fizz and Red Giraffe Designs for some surprises, enjoy dinner by Chipotle, mingle and enjoy the beverages they supplied, followed by yoga that was done as the sunset and the sky started to slowly light up with stars. To start off the event, we checked in and received drink tickets. From there, we were instructed to go to Rocket Fizz and Red Giraffe Designs which will be getting their own posts because I took gorgeous pictures and I want to focus on each place. These are two locations in the Short North District and they were pretty shops. I love local shops in Columbus so I’m always down for a visit to a new place. Believe it or not but Chipotle catered and if you don’t know, now you know that I love free Chip Chip! Especially with these prices hikes and what not. It was delicious and I wish they catered lunch at my job. While we ate, we utilized that time to talk to people and follow on Instagram because what’s better than local stores? Local bloggers.

Yoga was amazing. I’ll be the first to admit that I have not done yoga since high school. I’ve done pilates but not yoga. It definitely was a challenge but it helped unwind my body. I was in such a good mood after the fact which I attribute to stretching out my body and relaxing. It’s something I’m going to look into, I want to see if there are any studios in my area or my job so I can hit it up before or after work.
This event definitely makes me excited for what else is to come! I wouldn’t mind holding my own event if it meant hanging out with other bloggers/vloggers and just talking about everything. Thanks, Kels, for extending the invite! Obviously, I would do the same because you always need your bestie (and blog bestie/tribe) by your side for things you’re excited about and know they would be excited about, too.
If you’re ever in Columbus, you’ll want to check out Bexley Yoga. Not too sure, you can get the rooftop exclusive because it was space that they were able to utilize but I would think a studio would be peaceful. Bloggers in Columbus, if you ever want to chat I’m here and would love to meet for some food! Thanks again, Columbus Stories for putting on such a rad event and letting the invite be extended to me.
Enjoy the pictures and look out for posts on Rocket Fizz and Red Giraffe Designs!
