And, Before Cannon arrived, I was all about a modern-looking stroller that was easy to use. My mom and I walked into BuyBuyBaby and the rest was history. The associate there was very helpful in letting us know what the best stroller would be which was the UppaBaby. She suggested the UppaBaby Vista but I went with the UppaBaby Cruz and bought the bassinet later on.
When it came to choosing a stroller, I was looking for something that I could use and that Chase could use. To give you a quick picture, I’m 5’6 and Chase is 6’4/6’5 so we needed something that was adjustable. There was no way I was going to get a stroller that was too tall for me and too short for him.
Also, we wanted something that wasn’t too complicated to understand. A stroller with too many parts was not needed because I would forget those parts.
Basically, this stroller needed to be user-friendly for me, Chase, and whoever was watching Cannon.
The UppaBaby Cruz is everything. I’m saying all of this from a non-sponsored position (wink wink @ UppaBaby).
Smooth Performance
This stroller moves so easily. I have had no issues pushing it as it just glides. This I love as I tried out many strollers when looking for the one. I had no idea what I was looking for. The sales associate at BuyBuyBaby basically pointed the UppaBaby out and I went to it. My mom fell in love first and I had to agree that it was an amazing stroller. I went with the Cruz so it doesn’t become a double like the Vista but one can always upgrade, right? Cannon loves walks and I have been able to push him while he sleeps without the wheels getting stuck or doing the right thing.
Easy to configure
This is number one on my list for what I need a stroller to be. I need the stroller to be easy because I will be the one with the stroller for the most part. Chase and my dad can figure things out so easily while my mom and I take a bit more time to figure it out. The stroller had to be easy to open and switch things out.
We have the stroller seat which Cannon utilizes a lot and my mom bought us the bassinet part which I used a lot when Cannon was a baby. All you have to do is press the buttons on the side and you can remove the seat or bassinet, there is no struggle. I can add the infant car seat on top which no issue, as well. Overall, I would give this an A+ especially when comparing it to another stroller that I have.
Lightweight — great for travel
Sometimes we travel and I like to be ready for whenever Cannon gets too heavy for my arms. The stroller is pretty light — to the point where I can lift it while he’s in my arms. I’ve traveled with it through the airport and it’s easy to maneuver and pack up. I will advise buying the travel bag as that’ll insure your stroller if anything happens once you gate check it.
I would say traveling with the travel bag is a bit more difficult since you have to configure it the right way in the bag but that’s the only complaint that I have. It’s been helpful with the trips that I have taken with Cannon which has been taking him to Atlanta or bringing it on our shopping or road trips.
Easy to Dissemble
My favorite thing is that it is easy to take apart. I don’t like it when things are overly complicated and this is one of those things that could be complicated but it’s not. The UppaBaby is made to shut very easily and for the seats to come off easily. There is no struggle and if you know me, I would struggle if there was a reason to struggle.
Accessories
The UppaBaby Cruz comes with the mosquito netting and a rain cover which I love. I would have never thought about these items until I got poured on or ate up by mosquitos so having these come with the stroller is a blessing. We have the Ganoosh accessory for the wintertime as that’s usually when Chase is gone for work and I have to walk our dog. It’s definitely a favorite as it bundles Cannon up and keeps him warm and safe from the cold elements. And, I love that you can add on the snack tray which I need to invest in along with an organizer and cup holder for the parent. I have yet to buy these things but they are in my cart and waiting for Cannon’s birthday to gift to myself for my labor day.
My Favorite Features
What would my favorite thing be about the stroller? I love how easy it is to adjust Cannon’s seat. All I have to do is press a button and I’m able to sit him all the way up or lay him back to take a nap. It’s seriously the easiest thing ever to adjust him in there and I don’t have to worry about unhooking anything when it comes to adjusting his seat.
Yes, I would 100% recommend the UppaBaby Cruz to anyone that is considering it.
I truly have no real complaints as it’s been a great asset throughout the year for me as I go through motherhood. If I could change anything, it would be the colorway. The UppaBaby comes in so many different colorways and I would probably do the Green or Grey color.
Overall, you can’t go wrong. I don’t feel like I went wrong and this is coming from someone with two strollers from two different brands (UppaBaby and Ergobaby).
This stroller is what dreams are made of. Thank you UppaBaby for making my modern wants come true. And for putting together a stroller that is safe and works perfectly for my family.
