Not going to lie, Amazon sees a lot of my paycheck. Amazon Prime is my weakness especially when I don’t want to leave the house. It’s so easy to just pull up the app and press buy now then wait one-day for it to be delivered.
What beats that? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Other than seeing my money dwindle down because I see something else that I need in my life. Nonetheless, I love the process with Amazon and I am always able to find something I need. From clothes and shoes to household items to Amazon products like my Echo Show and FireStick.
Yes, I have an Amazon addiction and I should have the welcome mat that says it. I can help myself, I will say that. I don’t buy things to just buy things, I buy them when I need them which is everything on this list.
In 2019, I utilized Amazon for many things. Like simple things I needed around the house, items I saw online that I knew I could use around the house, baby things like breast milk storage bags and a Nuby floor mat and a re-fill on products that I might have run out of. This app was my saving grace for a bit and I’m sure I need to set a basket out for my UPS/FedEx/USPS person that is bringing me all my packages.
Now, let me share my favorites with you!
The Blog
Currently, I’m on the Blue Light Blocking Glasses trend. Not that it’s a silly trend or something that will go away. It’s actually a great trend — especially for someone like me that has wanted glasses all her life. These glasses are perfect as I work on a computer all day and come home to type away on my blog. The technology never ends over here.
The Home
For my home, I would say one of my favorite purchases was my rug. I found it on Amazon for an amazing price and I couldn’t pass on it. It’s gorgeous and I get so many compliments on it. IT’s definitely something that I would recommend to anyone looking for a rug. Another great purchase — the AmazonBasics Velvet Hangers 100-pack. If you’re looking to organize your closet or have matching hangers for cohesive-ness, then this $30 deal is a steal.
Obviously, my Echo Show and FireStick were a great purchase. I had the original FireStick from when it came out years ago and finally upgraded to one with volume buttons and Alexa — I’m feeling boujee. And, my Echo Show is great for entertaining Cannon and figuring out the weather in the morning. Also, I have tons of home organization items from Amazon but that would take all day to list.
The Hair
If you’ve seen my hair, you would know that I wear it curly all the time. As a mom, it’s easier to just deal with the curls than wash and blow it out. With that being said, I like to accessorize it up with the Knotted Stretchy Headbands. Headbands seem to be all the rage so I got hip with a set of 5-6 for $10.99. I will say that it was worth it and I’m glad I found them. Another thing that’s great for my hair? Satin Pillowcases. I purchased two and I have found that they are great at avoiding frizz and tangles. With curly hair, I pineapple at night so I need satin or silk for my hair when it’s time for bed.
The Pet
Since 2017, I have been priming for Rocko. From dog food to dog beds, I have been able to get it all for him. Besides the paw gloves that I bought him in 2018, his new bed has to be one of the best purchases. It doesn’t take up too much space, we can set it up when we need to open up the room, and it fits in his crate which makes everything a win.
This dog bed is great and I can say that from buying him multiple dog beds. What I love about this dog bed is that the cover is removable which means I can wash it without having to throw the whole bed in there. Also, it’s foam so easy to clean because I can cover in Pet Baking Soda and vacuum it. 100% recommend if you have a big dog that smells from time to time.
The Baby
Listen if I’m not at Target, I’m on Amazon finding something for Cannon. From toys to books to breastfeeding items, I’m always utilizing my Amazon Prime. I could go on and on about my favorites for Cannon so I’m going to focus on items that he used a lot. First, he loves the Fisher-Price Rock-a-Stack. Like, he’s obsessed even though he doesn’t stack them correctly. Now, his absolute favorite is his Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Count & Rumble Piggy Bank — the kid goes crazy over it. It keeps his attention which is great for me. Also, these are great break milk storage bags if you need a reco!
The Family
Can Christmas presents count as the best 2019 purchases? Just kidding. I am going to go with the portable Car Tire inflator because I always had a flat tire last year and I was able to have this with me wherever I was. Yes, I finally got new tires but before that, I was living it up with my tire inflator and will have it on me if it’s ever needed again. Also, I bought a swimming pool that I can’t wait to use when we get our house (currently, looking!!). It’ll be a blast when we get everything together by the summertime.
Overall, I didn’t ball out like I thought I did on Amazon. Thank God.
But, I was able to buy some great things that I’m glad wasn’t random and stuff that I can’t use anymore. I will say Amazon has an amazing return policy and they work with you when your packages don’t show up. That’s probably why I continue to order from them (+ the speedy delivery).
Feel free to check out my Amazon store for all the goodies I’ve been buying: Hello Brittnee Amazon Store
