Let me tell you — having a kid means doing fun things like an ice cream charcuterie board. Or maybe you call it a dessert charcuterie board? Either way, my child had a little ice cream party with his grandparents and me.

As a parent, I never knew how I was going to show up. Motherhood is hard. Parenthood is hard. Juggling work and trying to do it all from doctor appointments, dentist appointments, birthday parties, playdates, and more. It’s a lot on your schedule and your life gets busy. Real busy with kids.
But, I don’t mind.
I always wanted to be a mom. And, I love kids. Cannon has brought out my inner child in more ways than one and I love it. Yes, I think I have the best kid in the world. It’s probably a parent thing (or maybe just a mom?).
Nonetheless, I love being a mom and being extra. Am I a Pinterest mom? Yes. Very much yes. I grew up with a Pinterest mom before Pinterest was a thing, so it’s no surprise that it has rubbed off on me.
Let’s get into this charcuterie board
I’m going to be honest, I like easy things. I’m going to always choose the easy way to do things or the easy activity so my almost four-year-old isn’t waiting around.
With this charcuterie board, I found all the supplies I needed at Walmart. It didn’t break the budget and we were able to reuse everything because there was no way we were going to eat all of this between the four of us.
With the ice cream, I went with Chocolate Fudge Tracks, Salted Brownie, and Moose Tracks. All are Great Value brand and delicious. I highly recommend Great Value especially if you want to try new flavors! We’re pretty basic and like anything with chocolate so all of these flavors worked for us and didn’t break the bank.
Majority of the snacks were in my panty and I didn’t have to go overboard as my son is only three with a small stomach. Many of the snacks were eaten as the ice cream cones and bowls were made.

Honestly, this won’t take you longer than 5-10 minutes to set-up. I feel like it took me forever because I decided to film the process which included finding the right angels and trying to set things up in a perfect way.
Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves and I plan to do this once a month with my little guy. It’ll be an end of the week/weekend treat that we can build into the memories. Now, what should my next charcuterie board be? These are fun.
Are you a charcuterie board person? If so, do you stick with the general meat and cheese board of venture off to other foods?
