With New Year’s Eve on the horizon, this post might seem last minute to some but it’s never last minute to get a New Year’s Eve look. And to others, this post might be a blessing and you can thank me later.
Never ever too late to get an outfit, not when NYE is five days away.
Five days equals enough time, just saying.
Because who really orders in advance when you have Amazon Prime and After Christmas sales? Yeah, I’m not buying a month in advance, maybe two weeks but not a month.
Anyways, I wanted to bring you looks for less. Looks that you don’t have to spend all this money on for entering the new year. It’s not your birthday which would take a month of planning because that’s the day everything needs to be perfect not the last day of the year.
It’s time to prep, though. You need the outfit so you can pick out everything else like shoes and eyelashes and etc — the necessities. There’s nothing wrong with making an impression, right? That’s what you want to do? I know that’s what I want to do.
So to ring in 2018, what look are you going for?
The trend of sequins will never die out and this is coming from someone who has work sequins and rhinestones, anything that made me stand out. Not only are sequins still a trend but metallics and velvet are still around and poppin. I wore velvet last year and it wasn’t as hot as people thought it would be in that dress but I stayed a little toasty on a cold night.
Let’s take a look at some of the styles below and decide what your NYE look is going to be.

Dresses
You can’t go wrong with a dress. The styles haven’t faded from metallic, sequins, glitter, and velvet. All styles that people claim they are over but they really aren’t because they can help you stand out. The dresses I want to share with you are from Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe — two budget-friendly stores that inhabit more malls. The one call-out, my dress above is from Windsor. Windsor has great options, too. They will just be priced a tad bit higher but the quality is great and I love the choices they have — very limited when it comes to where they are. For instance, my Windsor just came to Columbus and I used to trek two hours to Toledo to go so yeah, they can be hard to find. Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 have been my go-to in the past. I have this gorgeous pink sequin dress from XXI that I could re-wear. The best thing about these dresses? Having the option to pair faux fur with them. Most of these dresses are one color so get that multi-colored faux fur coat.
Jumpsuits
As much as I love dresses, I have really started to like jumpsuits. The idea that my legs will stay warm help make the decision so much easier. Also, you can look taller in jumpsuits and they can accentuate your curves. The styles vary from sleeveless to halter to off-the-shoulder, and many more styles. You can pair the faux fur coat with the jumpsuit, too. A lot of people think that they can’t pull off jumpsuits but if you find the right one, you’ll prove yourself wrong. Don’t pass up on the opportunity to pull off a classic and glam look.
The one thing about these looks?
They’re affordable and an easy find. Not only that but they include Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe which will have multiple options at this time of the year.
If you have some party plans, make sure that you dazzle everyone in the room with your look. You can’t go wrong with any of these looks unless you find a sequin jumpsuit and it’s going to have all eyes on you.
I hope you have a great New Year’s and I hope you find the look you are looking for! Stay safe and slay!
Love a good jumpsuit! You can best believe I’m going to ring in the New Year in my sequins! 🙂
Yasss! Sequins are the best move!
Loooove all of those jumpsuits!
Jumpsuits are my fave!
