Do you need a pimple or pimples to disappear overnight?
I think we all do, to be honest. Especially when those pesky pests pop up before an event or something important.
Pimples suck. Acne sucks. Cystic Acne sucks.
I say this as a person who suffers from acne and having great skin one minute then bad skin within another minute. My skin really fools me – whenever I feel like I got this skin stuff understood, it does its thing and breaks out and lets me know that I still don’t get it yet.
Can I take a second to say that you should never tell someone to wash their face because they have acne? One, hella rude. Two, you don’t know their body so back off. Now that that is clear…
I’ve tried many different things like different soaps and visits to my dermatologist. I did antibiotics and Accutane — I’ve really done it all. And, I’ve written about it a lot on my blog because I know I’m not the only one (and I’ll continue to write about it because it just doesn’t seem to let up and skin care is important).
I know I’m not the only one that thought once puberty was over, the acne was over? Am I right? Like, this was supposed to end. Now, you want to tell me that there is adult acne and I can’t escape my skin issues because it’s basically a thing that is going to go on forever.
But, you know what? I love skincare. I really love it.
I think it’s because I went to the dermatologist for so long and they gave out samples of different products and I would study the posters they had on the wall. I’m truly fascinated by the skin. It wasn’t until I took a real interest in my skin and triggers that I fully began to understand. Stress, bad diet, not sticking to a routine. I’m talking fully understand that there are all these triggers and I can’t expect one product to do all the work. There are so many different ingredients that will work and not work on certain types of skin blemishes. You have salicylic acid, AHA, BHA, benzoyl peroxide, and so much more.
That’s why I want to talk about my favorite product, today. Just one that helps me out when it’s needed especially in urgent situations. I’m talking a product that can have results within a 24 to 48 hour period. So yes, I will talk about one product as a remedy that I have picked up along the way of suffering from cystic acne and nodules that think they can take over my face but I refuse to let them.
Also, I want to throw out that this is a non-sponsored post and an honest review of a product that I love.
This product is perfect for those pimple emergencies.
The Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is all the rave. You can find multiple YouTube reviews on it and Kylie Jenner has mentioned it before on her Snapchat story. It’s a cult favorite from what I read somewhere else so I had to get it. I needed an easy solution that worked fast and I found it.
So, what does it do?
This drying lotion is a fast-acting spot treatment that you can apply overnight and expect results in a few days. It targets whiteheads when you sleep but I have been someone that applies it to whiteheads and nodules because I am all about combating my acne, no matter the size.
It’s not the best to treat cyst but those pesky little pimples that pop up will start shrinking away as the drying lotion sucks out the oil. The one thing that sucks is the smell, it’s a pretty strong smell and something I don’t use when my friends stay over or my boyfriend because I don’t want them to see me like this.
With this drying lotion, you are dotting on the lotion to each pimple that pops up. Do this overnight or if you’re stuck in the house all day. Don’t shake the bottle, by the way, because you want the pink and liquid to be separate. If you were needing something that would remove your pimples in a short timeframe, I would suggest the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion as I have seen good results. I think it’s great for those pimples that pop up before an event or when you just don’t need your face to be breaking out. And, it’s easy to use! I’m all about easy products and this is just dabbing my face.
It’s really not that bad. I know some people don’t see results but I think it depends on the type of acne that you applying this, too. If you have a cyst, bring it to a head with a warm or cold compress before applying the Mario Badescu. You can combat the different types as long as you take the necessary steps.
Also, remember to wash your face before stepping outside. I forget in the mornings when I get up to walk my dog and walk around with pink spots on my face — not that anyone sees but I still want to avoid the possibility because it could happen.
I would give this product an 7.6 out of 10 — it would be so much more worth it if it worked on cysts, too. Luckily, Mario Badescu has a product for that but still it would definitely be my forever favorite product if it could take out all my acne issues.
Have you tried the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion? What are your thoughts?
