No number balloons, I know. I slacked off.
The day has come, the day I’m a real-life adult. Well, it was yesterday but you get the point. Yesterday was my 25th birthday — although, I’ve been telling my family and boyfriend that I’m redoing twenty-four because I rather not be closer to thirty. Crazy, right? I’m twenty-five and what people refer to as an adult. I do adult things like pay bills, cook, clean, and go work. I’m really out here doing this thing.
I’m twenty-five years young. And there is a lot that I want to accomplish this year.
The first thing on my list is to buy a houseplant — I literally worked at Scotts Miracle-Gro for some change and learned all about plants to utilize them on social and I’ve never had a houseplant. I don’t think flowers count because I can buy those at a grocery store. I’m talking fern, cactus, succulent type of plants — things that have soil and have to be watered daily/weekly.
Another thing I want to do is hire an actual photographer because I know I drive my sister crazy by dragging her out to shoot four or five outfits and never really using them because I’m picky and I find something wrong. A photographer knows what they’re doing more than the both of us and I’m sure that insight would be very helpful. Know any local photographers in Columbus, OH? Send them my way, please!
A need for this year is a new couch, I’m thinking sectional. Rocko has had the pleasure of pulling the sofa cushions off or burrowing under them. He has also eaten snacks and slobbered on the couch so a new couch which I’ve been studying up on Wayfair and purchasing one from there. A gray sectional is my dream but my only worry is transporting it and putting it somewhere. You’re probably thinking the living room, duh. But I don’t know if I’m going to stay in this place with my dog or find another place that has more space and I’ll love. That’s another big decision coming my way because I called a lender for a mortgage today and things got real. I was really sitting there like wow, this is so adult of you.
Special thanks to those that made my birthday special…
My family never forgets birthdays and we might not do anything on the day of anymore but they reach out and try to get me involved. Obviously, your family always needs a special thank you. My grandparents always send me messages that let me know that I’m loved and I like to think I’m their favorite grandchild.
Sam, Julia, and Jasmine, my three lifelong friends. We’ve been friends since forever and they never cease to reach out. I’m excited about the gifts and I love the statuses on Facebook because that’s how we let everyone know that we love them! Love you guys forever and ever.
Asia for taking me out to Jeni’s Ice Cream because that meant a lot to me and I appreciate you. Love you, Baesia (:
My boyfriend because he’s flying back this evening to celebrate this weekend. And he’s all about making sure birthdays are the best birthdays ever.
Becca and Kelsea for giving throwback Thursday pictures of me because you can’t go wrong with baby B — who really isn’t a baby but was younger than twenty-four.
Twenty-five is going to be an interesting year and I don’t want to spill all my plans because I have to make them come true first. I am excited to share and talk about those things on the blog though. I can’t wait!
Also, what’s a good gift that I can buy myself?
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Birthday!! I hope you have an amazing year!.
